Affiliate links
Buildawall takes part in partner programmes. Follow a link from a wall to a shop, buy something there, and the shop or its partner network may pay the platform a commission. It costs you nothing: what you pay is what you would pay without the link. Commission has no say in which items a person puts on their wall, and the owner of that wall receives points, never a slice of what we are paid. Where we cannot confirm that a shop belongs to a programme, we disclose all the same.
Points programme terms
Points have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to another account, sold, or withdrawn, and no exchange rate between points and any currency is published or implied.
Points are credited only after a shop confirms a purchase. Confirmation usually takes weeks and a shop may cancel it. Points shown as pending are not part of your balance and may never become part of it.
If a purchase is cancelled, refunded, or found to be fraudulent after points were credited, the corresponding points are reversed by a compensating entry.
Points can be exchanged for rewards from third-party providers listed in the catalogue. The reward is supplied by that provider under its own terms; the platform is not the seller of the reward.
The number of points granted per action may change. Changes apply to future activity only and never alter points already credited.
Points do not expire while the account is active. An account closed at the owner’s request forfeits any unredeemed balance.
Warranty tracking disclaimer
Buildawall is not a seller, insurer, or guarantor of any warranty. The Vault stores your receipts and reminds you of dates you or a document told us about. Any claim is made to the seller or the manufacturer under their terms.
Warranty periods read from a receipt are an estimate produced from that document. Always check the original terms of your purchase before relying on a date shown here.
Nothing on this site is legal advice about your consumer rights, which differ by country and by contract.
Data retention
Receipts, uploaded photos, and wall content are kept while your account exists. Uploaded photos used only to recognise a product are deleted after parsing.
You can export or erase your data from the privacy settings. Erasure removes personal data and content; anonymised accounting records of commissions and point movements are retained where the law requires it.
Click attribution stores a hashed visitor identifier, never a raw IP address or user agent.
Content on walls
Walls are made by the people who use buildawall. The things, links, words, photos and receipts you see here are uploaded by users and visitors: buildawall does not create them, does not edit them and does not endorse them. Whoever uploads something is responsible for it and must have the right to upload it.
Upload only what is yours to upload: photos you took, receipts you received, links to pages that are public anyway, and words you wrote yourself. Photos, receipts and PDFs can only be attached once you are signed in by email.
Do not upload sexual or nude images, anything that sexualises a minor, violence or gore, hate material, passwords, payment card numbers or banking details, identity documents such as a passport, ID card or driving licence, or material about firearms, drugs and prescription medicines. Do not upload someone else’s content as your own.
Files are checked automatically before anything is made from them, and we may refuse one. A refused file is deleted straight away: all that stays is a technical fingerprint of it, the reason and the time. We do not tell you which category was matched — that would be a recipe for getting past the check. If you think a refusal was a mistake, say so with the report form and a person will look at it.
By putting something on your wall you give buildawall a non-exclusive, revocable, worldwide licence to show it as part of your wall and to run the service. Nothing beyond that: we do not sell it and we do not license it on. Removing a card, or deleting your wall, ends that licence.
You need to be at least 16 years old to have an account and to upload anything.
Nothing you send is published automatically. Uploaded files are working material for recognising products: they never become the picture on a card and are never shown on a wall. What goes on your wall is only what you ticked and confirmed yourself.
